Packaged Snack Vending

Owning a business that includes packaged snack vending allows you to take advantage of an exceptionally profitable industry. On average, these machines will bring in greater earnings than any other type of vending machine. Furthermore, they offer a much higher level of security than honor snack vending (though honor trays are much more suitable to very small locations), and they will require a great deal more servicing than smaller forms of vending machines, the money coming in will make it well worth your while.

Packaged snack vending machines are those that likely first come to mind when you think of vending machines in general. They offer a variety of different sizes and styles of snacks in a large coin-accepting machine.

When you want to take advantage of the best opportunities for packaged snack vending, without dealing with competition issues, aim for locations that have between 20 and 100 employees. This is because most vending machine businesses usually aim for companies that have between 100 and 150 employees. By aiming for slightly smaller groups, you'll have found a niche that isn't even close to being saturated. That being said, the potential for profit in these smaller businesses is still pleasantly high.

Though it does already feel as though there is a vending machine everywhere you look, the truth is that though they are already in many locations (they've been around for a very long time, after all) and there is a lot of competition, there remains a tremendous number of opportunities out there. That's precisely why you see them so frequently - people continue to make money from them. By using the strategy of aiming for the smaller locations, you'll reduce that competition and draw more people to your products.

If you are wondering whether or not you'd lost part of your profits to commissions to the locations, you may be pleased to hear that the majority of places do not expect a commission to be paid. Especially in the case of smaller businesses, they are simply happy to have the convenience and service of a packaged snack vending machine available to their employees, so they will accept it without payment. If you find that a location that is truly desirable is expecting a commission, you can offer them one of two things. The first is the standard ten percent commission. Though this is not typically a large enough amount of money for most companies to find appealing, it can be something you offer. The second is to offer a ten percent discount on the price of the items within the machine, instead of a ten percent commission on the sales each month. Most companies will usually opt for the lower prices. This is more appealing to them because they don't have to pay as much for their snacks, and should be more appealing to you as there is less paperwork and effort involved.

In order to get started with a packaged snack vending business, all you will need is the following:

· Two or more packaged snack vending machines that are attractive and reliable.
· Enough product so that you can fill each of your machines at least one time.
· A guide to using and stocking the machine.

It is recommended that each of your packaged snack vending machines should offer a minimum of fifteen different items. Your machine should have a coin changer so that the customer doesn't need to have exact change to make a purchase. It should also be able to hold enough products that you can minimize the number of times that you service it - since your time is money, after all.

Indeed, packaged snack vending machines are not at all a new concept, but they continue to be a very profitable one. As long as you choose the right location and offer the best products, you'll always see an attractive profit at the end of every month.
